| How do you feel about POTC 4? | |

So, I'm a little lukewarm about this POTC 4, and I know everyone else has been sharing their opinions, so I thought it would be interesting to see it in a poll format. Sorry the poll options are all kind of long. I was trying to cover every possibility I could think of, which is why I included "not sure how I feel" in each of the middle options. That's me right now anyway.I've discussed this elsewhere, but I'm just not sure how I feel about this movie. I don't want it to become a joke because of how many sequels there are, I don't want this movie to have a lame script, and I'm not looking forward to a lack of Elizabeth Swann (and Will, I guess they kind of go together :P). I don't know that I'll actually be excited until it gets closer to coming out, and then I really won't know until I've seen it. How do you feel? Feel free to elaborate on your choice if you feel the need.

I don't know; the idea of a fourth pirates film just doesn't thrill me. Perhaps I've grown out of it but after the third POTC movie, I wasn't impressed. It was good but ... I don't know... it doesn't seem necessary to have a fourth one. Maybe my opinion will change... |

I voted: I'm not excited and I probably won't go see it. I'm not excited, I still haven't watched AWE (although I'm planning to next week) because I realised that I just didn't care anymore. As far as I'm concerned Disney just picked the wrong elements from CotBP to carry on with. Sword fights = cool. Three way sword fights around a runaway water wheel = retarded. Jack survives as a mixture of wits and luck = understandable and a nice idea. Jack survives entirely due to dumb luck and cowardice = I even like the first film less because of this. Everything I saw of the third film (basically the trailer) looked like this was going to be another OTT Xtreeeeeeeeeem installment and I lost interest. I haven't watched either of the other films since AWE came out as Disney have managed to totally kill my interest. I loved the first film, I even quite liked the second one despite wanted to edit parts with a machete but somewhere along the way the love just died. |

^ What Will said. It's kind of hard to work up much emotion over the movie anyway--I know I won't like it, so I really am trying not to think too much about it. The reasons I liked the first one, were mostly absent from the sequels. And I find that over time my taste in movies has changed drastically. Action movies just aren't quite as interesting for me anymore--especially with the rising cost of seeing them. With the economy as it is, I'm trying to reevaluate what I spend my money on. It's cheaper for me to stay in and watch TV, especially with all the new shows coming on--new ones that seem to be better written and more original than a lot of the old stuff. Plus I'd rather watch a movie or show at home--I like the atmosphere better. It probably wasn't too hard to guess that I said I won't see it all. |

Well, I went with the first option: Yay! Another Pirates movie! Finally, all my hopes and dreams have come true! Although, it might be exagerating a bit to say all my hopes and dreams have come true.

I am dang excited! The 3rd was good and so I hope this is going to be good one. The 2nd was kinda sad but the 3rd wasn't so bad. I guess it's gonna be good. I can't wait and I hope it's going to be good. BTW I put the top one!

I said I'm not sure how I feel about it but I might go see it. It can really go either way. It could kill the franchise or it could be so very awesome that people would call it the new Matrix... or something. The latter I'm not sure about as, in my opinion, people do tend to mess up ALL films nowadays. Take for example Max Payne. Awesome games. So a movie would also be awesome... unless when you COMPLETELY miscast the lead actor and turn it into something a fan of the games would try to ignore at all costs. My tired mind's point is that it is something I'll look forward to if it's good... if that makes sense.

Hi guys...I came by today for the first time in a long time, and probably won't be back again...college life is consuming.
I did want to vote here, however. I said I feel so so, and probably will see the movie. Mostly because of Jack Sparrow and his screen time. One can only hope that I won't be disappointed. |

I went with 'kinda excited'. If done right, I'm totally psyched. But as of right now, I do have some doubts, especially of Depp, who signed on without a script... very unwise, methinks, and quite unlike him. May'be he's been possessed, or an alien stole his body. THERE'S a plot for a fourth movie!

The same thing happened with AWE, they started filming without having a script first, so maybe they'll just make it all up on the spot, it's not a good sign, although the last one wasn't all that bad, even if it did lose the character progress made by DMC, rendering that whole second film useless. |

personally, I think that they shouldn't do it. They are goign to be pushing their luck. They are goign to take it way too far. Kiera wont be in it! Its just dropped 100 notches for me. This movie is not goign to be good, I can feel it.... |

Could be pretty good. I think I have no reason not to see it. I liked the other three, makes sense to give this one a chance. |

maybe, but I think they are just making it for more..umm..fame i guess? they have to end sometime and a trilogy is a good thing. Why not go overboard? but is it official? are they really making one? |

It looks that way, it certainly seems to have come from some reasonably credible sources. Of course nothing's set in stone until they've actually made it. Having seen the entire series now I have to say that I still wish they'd left it at the end of the first one. |
