I've two things to say about this clip... the latter is more a random thought than anything... 1. How stupid was that of the writers/makers?! Dig yourself a mighty fine hole there boys! Why'd they have to change from the great idea of having a fun little gag after the credits?! 2. Elizabeth looks exactly the same as she did ten years earlier. I think she found the Fountain of Youth with Jack! |

Haha, that's actually what one of my roommates thinks. The people who went to see it with her apparently didn't like that Elizabeth didn't age during those ten years, and she was like, "Maybe they went after the fountain of youth and found it, did you ever think of that?" Course, personally I like to think that at the end of AWE there was the last time Elizabeth saw Jack, and therefore she wouldn't be able to partake of that fountain. Just because she can only see Will once every ten years, presumably, it's depressing to think that she can see Jack whenever she wants. No, I want their association to be over. I think she'd jump him after not being with a man for so long if she did see him. Will doesn't deserve to have to live with the knowledge that Elizabeth can see Jack whenever but can't see him. Anyway, yes, I do miss the joke at the end. This was just... oh, it made it so much more depressing. When mini-Will came on the screen in my theater you could hear the crowd gasp. It was just so sad! And now on his one day back Will'll have to split his time between Elizabeth and mini-Will, so it's not like Elizabeth will even get a full day of sex like she wants. So sad. He'll see his kid grow up in segments of ten years... gah! I'm sad. One of my coworkers was watching the credits, and saw a credit for "Young Will Turner," and was like, "There was no young Will Turner in the movie," and she figured out what was going to be in the final scene, lol. |

Actually it would be good for her to find the Fountain of Youth because Will is going to live forever. And if she doesn't she'll see him 3 maybe 4 more times. But then she can see him anytime she wants. And being immortal might permit her to come to go with Will. And then Jack can be the immortal captain of the Pearl and Barbossa can... um.... be the captain of the dinghy. No wait that's Gibbs'. He'll find someway to cope. |

If Elizabeth was around 17 at the start of the trilogy and she aged 10 years or a little more than that, her appearance would not change that much. I looked about the same all the way into my thirties. So it's not that far-fetched, mates. |

Wow, all these ideas I've never considered before, they're making my head spin.Firstly, I agree. I wanted a goofy little thing after the credits, not some actual plot relevant type of deal.. that bothered me too. Hmm, the fountain of youth. I also agree that Liz didn't look at all older, even remotely. And the fountain of youth would be soo much more useful to her than to anyone else. Otherwise, she'd die and be so much older than Will for the next maybe 3 times he sees her (As Eyem pointed out). Also, you're right, maybe then she could go with him? Thats certainly a possibility. Tomb I like your point on how Liz could see Jack whenever, but not Will. I HATE the idea of Sparrabeth or whatever, and so thats a sad point. Liz and Will should go off and be immortal together. Jack can.. get the Pearl back and pilfer his weasly black guts out, just like he wanted. It truly is the best ending, for me at least

I was definitely hoping for an entertaining scene at the end with one of the animals, just like in the previous two movies. Liz could certainly benefit from the fountain of youth. I absolutely agree with everyone that she didn't look one bit older. But does the fountain of youth keep someone from dying? I mean, it's supposed to keep someone young forever, but does that give them immortality? It's like elves. They don't grow old and die, but there are certain things that can kill them. So I'm wondering how plausible the theory is that if Liz found the fountain, she could then go with Will, because I'm not certain that finding the fountain would prevent her from being killed in some way. I currently trying to reasearch the fountain of youth, but I haven't found anything yet. |

Even though it doesn't follow the same pattern, I love the ending scene! That's what gets me through the end of the movie! Although it is rather depressing to think about the fact that Will and Elizabeth will only see each other a few more times before she dies. And the poor kid didn't ever meet his father for the first 9 years of his life! (I'd just like to point out that the kid is only 9 years old because Elizabeth had to be pregnant with him for 9 months first ;)). As for Elizabeth's apparent non-aging... well, I laughed about that at first, but it is true that some people don't age very much. Also, considering this is Keira Knightley we're talking about, and she's basically looked the same since she was about 10 years old, it could happen. |

I liked that it was different to the previous ones, and it was so well done. Ok my personal theory about what happened: I don't believe for a second she stayed on the island. It doesn't seem like something Liz would do. Besides she had to have bought her dress and little Will's clothes from somewhere. I don't think she went back to Port Royal though, as others have said people might ask questions and it might remind her too much of her father. I think she went back to the ship Sao Feng gave her (The Empress? I can't remember), she is still captain of it. As for whether she saw Jack again, I'd like to think that she did, and no not just because I'm a Jack/Liz shipper (I refuse to say Sparrabeth because, well I think it's a silly term), I don't like the idea that just because Will's gone she can't see Jack again. I do think she stayed faithful to Will though, but I like the idea that she does see Jack if only occasionally in passing. |

I just want to say that most people don't change much between the ages of 20 and 30, so I thought it was completely plausible that she didn't really age. |

I liked the little ending, my cinema for some reason cut that and put it about a minute into the credits so it was a bit
when it arrived, but it was nice, just one thing, when did they have time to have a kid? the way it seemed was they only had a few minutes together before Will left, and a quick bit of sex before saying goodbye is hardly Disney, even less Disney if they did anything before marriage.

No, Calm, they definately had sex before Will left for his first 10 years on the Dutchman, hence the kid... I thought it was a bit un-Disney-ish and inappropriate, considering age groups seeing it and all the implications of it, but technically they were already married, so I guess that makes it a bit better... I was still shocked they had it in there though, for a Disney film. |

Hey, people make babies, and thats how its done. They didn't show anything inappropriate, and they were married, so I think its fine the way that they did it. |

Um... perhaps I'm one of those few unlucky persons who actually did change between 20 and 30; I'm 30 years old at the moment and you can be d*mn sure I see differences with 10 years ago! <_< Not so many indeed, but I don't know, my expression in general seems less soft. And that wasn't shown in Liz's face, while you might think she actually had to suffer these 10 years while raising their child alone.
To me this entire ending hardly is Disney; what ever happened to the Happily Ever After ending??? But what makes me wonder more is the fact how Will as the new captain of the FD was able to father this child in the first place? |

Well since I didn't realise until I saw the little kid that they did anything then I guess it's ok, no children watching would know, and if they do then they're smarter than I am.

Uh, I do believe that they had that day together. And I'm sure they used whatever time they had to its full potential anyway. She was clean and had a new change of clothes, so I don't think that they just went ashore right from the Dutchman, though it is possible. In any case, they did have sex (obviously due to the kid, as well as Liz with the boot on and all), and then Will left for 10 years. |
