Clicky! Like last year with DMC, Soundtrack.net have provided us with a first listen to the soundtrack, this time for AWE!! CLick on the links on that site, and pop-up windows will appear. MAke sure you have the lastest version of Quicktime though... I can't actually get them to work at the moment, but thought you guys might want to have a listen... It's probably my laptop :P. Do they work for you? |

I can't get it to work at the moment. I think it's the computer's problem, though. It says something about types that need to be associate with Quicktime are associated with something else, and I have no idea what that means. |

Something about the MIME or MINE or something like that? If it is those, it should give you some options to reassociate them with their original types, and I think saying that it can reassociate it, it should work. Also making sure that you have the latest free version of quicktime helps as well. I'd try it for kicks (listening right now) except AIM wrecks havoc with my computer. |

Mine doesn't say that... It comes up with it fine, I click when it says 'Click to Play', then nothing... just comes up with a slit with a bit of the Quicktime sign in it... <_< |

That's weird--can you find out what version of quicktime you are running, Choccie? We can try bringing this to PMs if you want me to help to try to troubleshoot it with you. |

I can't get it to work, either. After I push "click to play," it just... doesn't play. I don't think the problem can be on every one of our computers, can it? |

Okay, different computer. And now I can get it to play! I love the part of At Wit's End, and Multiple Jacks sure is quirky sounding and I love Up is Down. And Drink Up Me Hearties. And several others as well. I think I am going to really like most of this. I think I am going to cry. I'm really starting to get excited! And I'm rambling.. |

I really want to hear it, but my home compy tells me I need to update to the latest Quicktime, which I thought I had. But I hate all that Ipod junk they try to download with it. I'll have to think about it. <_< |

The only tracks that I actually enjoyed were "Multiple Jacks" and "What Shall We Die For?". Everything else was generic Hans Zimmer music and sounds synthesized. I'm was not impressed, and in fact am kind of dissappointed. |

Here are downloadable MP3s of the soundtrack previews: Hoist the Colours Singapore At Wit's End Multiple Jacks Up is Down I See Dead People in Boats The Brethren Court Parlay Calypso What Shall We Die For I Don't Think Now is the Best Time One Day Drink Up Me Hearties As I listen to the soundtrack more, I enjoy it more. I now like all the songs well enough, particularly "What Shall We Die For", "Multiple Jacks", "Drink Up Me Hearties" and "Singapore". They will all be much better on the album, though. Remember how the DMC soundtrack previews sounded? They had that kind of synthesized sound to them too, like these do. The soundtrack is gonna rock! ![]() EDIT: I just won/downloaded this new 3 minute medley from AWE from Coke, and its freakin' awesome! It begins slow, then goes into a rousing bit from "Singapore", then into a "Jack Sparrow's Theme" (as in the music in "The Medallion Calls" and "I've Got My Eye On You"), but its all with chorus and epic sounding and awesome, then it goes into some softer but deep new music, then into some totally epic and freakin' awesome new music, then goes into some beginning of "Wheel of Fortune"-y intro into the preview of "Up Is Down", but a little bit more than in the preview, which ends up into this epic choral thing that is just amazing, and it ends on some crazy heavy drums. IT IS AMAZING. AND HERE IT IS TO DOWNLOAD!!!!! At World's End Medley!!!!!!! SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

That medley rocks, I wouldn't listen to anymore as I don't want to find myself humming the music during the movie as I'll be concentrating more on the sound than what's on the screen, but it's pretty cool to listen to, I so hope someone gets me that soundtrack for my birthday, or at least gives me the cash so I can get it straight after watching the movie, and just before the blowing the candles out of the cake bit, woo hoo!

I can't wait for this soundtrack. iTunes is supposed to be having it available for download on the 20th. I don't know if I'm going to do that or wait. I think I'll wait, because I want the actual disc anyway. Speaking of which, I never actually bought the Curse of the Black Pearl soundtrack; I just downloaded the music or people burned it for me. Hopefully the re-stock that at BestBuy when the AWE CD comes out too. |
