Oh how great!!! I'm so glad to hear things are looking better... I was really worried for her. The lack of news, while I think its great for their privacy, is unnerving bc we dont know what it is. I'm so happy to hear that shes a little better. |

New news from IMDb:
Well I'm glad she's better. It's bad enough when adults are seriously ill let alone children. I just thought everyone would like to know. Will |

Ah! Scary news, but by the time I read it shes already better. Thats really bizarre, blood poisoning? Scary stuff. I don't like when little kids are really sick like that... bad past experiences. And I'm glad that Depp took time off work for his kids, that makes me like him more. Not that other people wouldn't, but it wouldn't phase me if they didn't; Hollywood is very cold sometimes. |

I'm really glad to hear shes released and is ok, blood poisining, wow!! I'm so happy that shes doing better, though. I did read in the paper this morning that Johnny won't be doing any more filming until shes fully recovered, so I guess Sweeney Todd and anything else is on hiatus for a while. BUt good for him, to stay by his daughters beside

When I was at Target, they had a headline on the front of one of the magazines in the checkout line. They were a bit behind the times because they were still claiming she was on the verge of dying or something (you know how those magazines are ), but they had a little picture of her on the front. She is so darling! I've never really seen pictures of her, seeing as Johnny doesn't like pictures being taken of his kids, which I totally understand and respect. But she's a cute little thing! I'm glad she's doing better and Johnny and his family can still be with her. |

When I was at Jewel, I must've seen the same one, PG. It was so odd to see Lily Rose, you're right! I've never seen either of the kids before, good for Johnny that he keeps them out of the limelight. Accordng to the snippet of the article I read, she had E.Coli, and I've also heard blood poisining but theyre similar.. so glad shes okay. She's a really cute girl, looks really sweet

It's kind of disgusting how this is getting allt he media attention. It's a personal problem, she's not a celebrity, she's only Johnny's daughter. I remember Johnny once saying if they did something like this he'd bite reporters noses off. Can't wait to read THAT in the news. |

I just read something posted on another board. Someone who works on Sweeney Todd has said that JD was back filming last week. They are now taking a week off before filming begins again. Hopefully, that means Lily-Rose is much improved.

I remember him saying something like that two, and laughing, but then saying seriously that he would sue (or something to that effect). I saw the magazine with the little circular picture of Lily-Rose on the front. She's precious, really she is, but the first thing I thought was, "Oh, , Johnny's gonna be PISSED when he sees that."I'm glad she's okay, though, I was worried for her. |

Johnny Depp talks about Lily-Rose's Health Scare Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp has spoken for the first time about his young daughter's terrifying life-threatening illness. In an emotional interview with the Daily Mirror - first to report on the seven-year-old's condition - the actor lays bare his anguish and fears for Lily-Rose after she was rushed to hospital with potentially fatal E.coli poisoning. "It gave us a great scare," he sighs. As Lily-Rose lay critically ill for nine days, Johnny and long-term girlfriend, 34-year-old Vanessa Paradis, kept a constant vigil at her bedside. "What got us through this wasn't the strength of Vanessa or me but our daughter and her incredible ability to make us feel OK even though she was very unwell. She was super-strong," he says. It was just two months ago that Lily-Rose was admitted to a London hospital. The E.coli bug - most commonly associated with improperly cooked meat - had caused her kidneys to shut down. Frantic with worry, Johnny, 43, refused to return to the set of movie Sweeney Todd until she was out of danger, throwing filming into chaos. "It was a very bumpy patch but she has come through it beautifully and unscathed and she is now as healthy as she always was. She is wonderful." he says. "It was a reminder to us of how lucky we are to be able to breathe, walk, talk, think and surround ourselves with people we love." It is clear Johnny has managed to put the trauma behind him. Looking relaxed at London's Dorchester hotel he says he is looking forward to his next project - reprising his performance of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. He says of the films' success: "When I decided to take the role it was pure instinct. I didn't know it was going to be such a huge hit. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. It's very, very moving and emotional, the idea that people feel this very strong connection with Captain Jack." He freely admits he owes the eccentric pirate a big debt for rescuing his career. "I was the guy who had been bouncing around the film industry for years and I'd been lucky if five or 10 people would see my movies, so Captain Jack did a big flip for my career," he explains. "He and Pirates have afforded me and my family a certain luxury in that we are able to live a little more comfortably and it will be something that will reverberate for my kids and their kids." Johnny had consistently turned down blockbuster roles and had a tempestuous private life. It was meeting French singer turned actress Vanessa that proved to be his calming factor. The final transformation occurred after the birth of Lily-Rose in 1999, then their son, Jack, in 2002. Family, he says, is everything. In fact it was his dream of making a film his children could enjoy that inspired him to take the part of Captain Jack. Disney studio's chairman Dick Cook had been chatting with Johnny and mentioned that they were developing a film around the Disney Pirates ride. "He got very excited," Cook recalls. "He said, 'Like a real pirate movie? With swords?' And I said, 'Yeah - with swords.' And he said, 'I'm in'." And Johnny seems happy to carry on with the films. He says: "There's a lot more territory to explore. Why shouldn't we try a fourth and a fifth?" source |
