Soundtrack previews? I'd rather wait until the film comes out, but hopefully it's better than Begins, all that had was the same few notes playing through it, I don't remember much of the music at all.

I did see a picture of Two-Face a while back, I can't post that because it's just too gross, but I can post: Posted Image

Yeeeeah, Batman's not just taking names. :D

Aw, Steven, I loved the Begins score. Sure it was basically 3 different themes repeated, but they were great themes! Just download "Molossus", "Myotis", "Vespertilio" and "Corynorhinus".

And that pic of Two-Face was AWESOME!!! I can't seem to find it though, and... well, yeah, it is sorta gross.

And no, Batman isn't taking names.

I had a couple of themes downloaded, but I didn't feel like listening to any more, I really hope there's more variation to come, so it's a musical experience as well as a visual one. :D

I do have that picture, I uploaded some Dark Knight pictures to my Photobucket but never actually used any, not before now anyway, I'll send it using the power of stealth. :P

Is the merchandise already going strong? I saw posters, and got myself a Joker t-shirt, but the film's not out for what feels like forever, I guess it's only time before the toys and everything hit, it's just unusual to have them all over a month early, especially in the UK.

Gahh I so want to see this film! I don't even like Batman all that much, but I want to see this film. It comes out the day I go on holiday, so I have to wait an extra week before I can see it. ¬¬'
What's the rating for the UK?
Is it 12 or 15?

EDIT: OMG. Wolf, you are right. Best film ever. I loved it!! :) I have a big Joker poster up on my bedroom door lolz. My mum walked in and was like "O.O What is that?" "The Joker." "Oh.. Bye now..." Lol. I loved this film!!!

The Dark Knight on DVD and BluRay Dec. 9th!!!!!

HUZZAH! Though I'm disappointed in the covers... the 1-disc DVD has the coolest cover thus far (the burning building poster). As I said on the comment thread there, I hope that BestBuy or somewhere has a steelbook with either of these:

Teaser A
Teaser B

And I'd like to just say that STEELBOOKS RULE! They're just soooo cool lookin'. (The links here are pics of the steelbooks.) I've only got Planet Terror, I Am Legend and Gotham Knight steelbooks now, but I love them! Next few are Iron Man next Tuesday, then The Clone Wars on November 11th. Keep 'em comin!

Oh, and Gotham Knight, for those of you who aren't aware, is a 6-story anthology of animated tales that take place in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Its OK. If you go into it expecting Batman: The Animated Series quality stuff like I did, you will be disappointed. But, if you go in expecting some cool anime action, I guess you'd be happy. 2-disc is worth buying for the extra features though, including a cool new Bob Kane (creator of Batman) featurette.

Ooooh!
I want!

Oh, did you hear about all the like controversy of The Dark Knight being a 12? Well, I was all for it being a 12, I couldn't have gone to see it if it was a 15 (well, I probably could have, but that's not the point). I didn't even think it was that gory. If a 13 year old girl can stomach it, why can't everyone else my age? Haha. I just didn't think it was as horrific as everyone's made it out to be.

Well, I'm in the states, and it was PG-13 here, which some parents did cry about, because the Joker is frankly disturbing, and rightly so, but for comic books and film geeks, it is unbelievable awesome, like Hannibal Lecter, but more so. My feeling is that if you can't tell from the previous film, trailers, and jeeez, the TITLE, that this is a deep, dark, totally-non-Adam-West Batman movie, regardless of the rating, you deserve whatever backlash you get from your kids reaction.

However, I think its funny that everything is now pushing for PG-13. The director of Max Payne actually fought against its R rating and won out, lowering it to PG-13, even though the dark, gritty trailers and TV spots would indicate an R-rated film. Also, the director of the new Terminator films, McG (no, I don't know whats up with that guy) is also aiming for a PG-13 actually based on the intensity of The Dark Knight. Very strange.

And for those interested, high-res artwork for the DVD has been added to DVDActive (it the same as BluRay, the cover is Joker, the slipcover is the fruity Batpod poster).

What a coincidence!! I saw it at IMAX too! And last week too! :o

:yay:

Anyways, I have nothing to add to the ongoing convo, but I will say that it was a very awesome movie, it had it all. Brilliant story and freakin fantastic actors. I wanted to stay a bit after the movie was done and the credits were rolling so I can see them pay homage to Heath Ledger. I didn't know he was such a good actor until I saw him as the Joker. He's by far my most favourite Joker.

I saw Dark Knight a while ago i thought it was a really great movie. I think Heath should have gotten a Oscar for his role as the joker. .

The Oscars are still a few months away, I forget how many, and I guess they'll give him one, there's been a lot of talk about it, and it'd be really weird to be one of the actors who are up against him when the time comes, but I hope the film's up for at least a few other Oscars if that's so, since it deserves it, and it'd be weirder if they just give Joker an actor nomination, it'd seem more like a tribute than the fact that he deserves it if he's the only cast member to be up for one, if I make sense.
