Wow, weird that Cold and I both decided to show up at the same time. What a crazy random happenstance! Well, my house is finally in possession of a BluRay player as of Christmas, and when I went to BestBuy, they had these!  YES! BluRay steelbooks! How could I resist? I couldn't; that's how. And if you have a BluRay player (or PS3), a BestBuy anywhere in your proximity, and do not yet own the Pirates trilogy on BluRay, I doubt you'll be able to either. So I watched Curse and Dead Man's Chest two nights ago and am in an utterly Piratey mood. Given that, I really sort of miss Parley in it's heyday, and wanted say 'hi' to anyone still kicking around the boards. Which apparently may now include Cold. How very strange. Sidenote: If you check my profile now, you may note that my real name is in there, which a handful of what I'd have to refer to as the original Parleyers (as in 2006/2007) already know. It is Paul. Feel free to call me either that or wolf, whichever you see fit. Also, though you can't really make anything specific out due to Photoshopped awesomeness and my hand, that is me in my avatar. Oh, decidedly not, as anyone around back when the last two films came out can attest. As I said, our near-simultaneous return is nothing more or less than a crazy, random happenstance. |

I know your name is Paul, but you'll always be Wolf to me.  It would be nice to see this place sping to life again. I sometimes feel like the Ghost of Parley Past when I come here. |

It would be pretty awesome to get the site going again. I'd assume once the fourth film really starts going, there'll be more activity. Nice to see some familiar faces beforehand, though.

Hello, all. I have LOVED "Pirates of The Caribbean" for years now. My favorite characters are (although I love em all in their own way, here are my absolute favorites) Tia Dalma, Davy Jones, Barbossa, Jack (The Monkey), Jack Sparrow, and Elizabeth Swann. Tia Dalma is a halfly, creepy medicine woman/Witch just in my taste. Davy Jones is... well, just awsome, as well as played by BILL NIGHY! Barbossa is simply awsome too and I LOVE the way he speaks in that typical Piraty "ARRRR"-y kind of way. Jack, The Monkey, is just so adorable and cute and fun, Jack Sparrow is... insane, in a good way! And Elizabeth is just such a strong female character. So... hello there again. My favorite "Pirates" movie is probably "Dead Man's Chest", but the third and first are almost as great. So... Hello, everyone, lol! |
