I meant to start a thread like this when Parley opened, but for some reason I never did.
Anyway... Here is where you can suggest pretty much anything for Parley. Suggestions could include:
Keep in mind that some things may be technically impossible or otherwise unfeasible. Please don't get upset if your suggestion is not put into action. It doesn't mean that the suggestion was bad; it just means that, for some reason or other, it seemed better not to use it. (Generally we'll give you an explanation why, but if we don't, or if you're not satisfied with the explanation we give, please PM a modmin and ask for details.) |

[size=4]Um...I have a very selfish suggestion.
I'm not sure if anyone else uses the font size all the time, I mean, I know other people change the font size sometimes, but I change in with every single post, so I was wondering if you could make one of the defaults be size 4? (That's the size I use. )Don't look at me that way! I told you it was selfish! [/size]

I'll look into it, but I don't think I can do that... I could change the font size for the whole board, but that's a bit drastic. Well, I'll check - but until then, you can always select 'Large' text and simply put a 4 where the 7 is. (If you don't already... I mean, it saves you typing out the whole code, anyway.) |

Tru, you could also change your defualt font size in the Web browser -- I have to admit I have a hard time reading the tny print, but changing the browser settings seems to help in general. One of the hardest things I find is composing a new message, because I can barely see the cursor and the font is even smaller than the default size in the posts! |

Kriss, just 3 or so years ago, I would have thought it a strange thing, as well! Now, when I can't read something, I feel like shouting,[size=8]"Me eye, me eye!"[/size] |

[size=4]Kriss! Ya' little punk!
Thanks, Null, I have changed it...that is, I already had it changed. I think. I think Lor helped me with it one time, not sure. Thanks, Dutch. No, I didn't mean for you to change the whole board's font size. I do click on the dropdown for "size" and then I select the first one. It doesn't really matter which one I get 'cause I'm gonna change it anyway. The small is size 1 ! The large is size 7 and the largest is size 14 ! I just prefer size 4, even with my monitor settings changed. Well, at least you got a response here. I was kind of feeling sorry for you. [/size]

Dutch, While looking around the IF Support board I had run across some code that you could use in the footer to change an individual member's default font color. (and I would assume font size but it doesn't show it in this example) BTW - I haven't tried this code myself. Tru, Are you changing your font color for each post as well? |

If you want to promote interaction between here and Aztec Gold you might want to put a link to it at the top of the page here. They have a link to this board, anyway. |

Whoa negative fontage!
Thanks, Barbossa! You know, you truly got a bad rep from the movie, with the mutiny and all, but you're not a bad guy. I'll see about the coding when I have more time. (I'm beginning to wonder when that will be. I've been working non-stop lately. Oh well, it has to end sooner or later...)
I would, if I knew how. I don't know if InvisionFree even has that option...

I think you go into administrator access, find the html for the header, find the section with the links to members, calender, etc, copy one of the them (like calender or something), remove the image, then change the link and title... Or at least that is how it works on the non-free invision stuff. Not sure if it would work that way here.If you want the link at all, honestly, it doesn't really bother me either way. Whatever is best for you.

Flattery will get ye anythin' ye want, Dutch luv.
Extra coding won't be necessary. I've tried out this code below and it's all set to change Tru's posts orange automatically. Just copy and paste what's below and put it in your footer (Admin CP>Board Wrappers>Footer) (Unfortunately, the person who wrote this code did not include an option for changing the font size or style - just the color and the option for bold or italic.) [/color] <script> /* User color Created for <a href="http://forums.ifsupport.net">IF Support</a> and iFusion by HolySavior moddied from Message above user v2 */ function colorUser(id,hex, bld, ital){ var iTR = document.getElementsByTagName('TR') for(i=0;i<iTR.length;i++){ if(iTR.cells.length==2 && iTR.cells[0].getElementsByTagName('SPAN').length > 0){ var iSpan = iTR.cells[0].getElementsByTagName('SPAN')[0] if(iSpan.className == 'normalname' && iSpan.getElementsByTagName('A')[0].href.match("showuser=" + id + "$") != null){ iTR[i+1].cells[1].innerHTML="<span style='color:"+hex+";font-weight:"+bld+";font-style:"+ital+"'>" + iTR[i+1].cells[1].innerHTML+"</span>" } } }} if(location.href.match(/showtopic=\d/i) != null){ colorUser( "29","orange"); } </script> |

[size=4]Wow, I didn't know you all were talking about me and my little problems!!
[/size]
[size=4]Yes, I change the font, the size and the color with every post. I've gotten quite used to it, actually. The worst part is changing it all inbetween quoting others. I have to do it ever time 'cause it doesn't just change it for the whole post, just until the next quote comes along. (closing all tags now for the next quote.)[/size]
Font...size...[size=4] change it to "4"(but I usually do this after I finish clicking on those three main ones.) ... then font color and it's always orange, unless it's for some special thing like saying "Happy Birthday" or "Happy Anniverary" or something along those lines. Now, close them all...and if you forget to do this before previewing it, it doesn't work afterwards, so you have to go and copy and paste the openning tags and delete the values. Oh, my, why do I do this to myself![/size]
